Effect of Timing of Case Management on the Timing and Receipt of Other HIV/AIDS Services

The effects of case management on the receipt of services, and their timing, is complex in these programs. Case management increases the likelihood of receiving mental health services. Furthermore, receiving case management early in the treatment episode increases the odds that an individual will receive HIV Services and Substance Abuse Counseling from the program.

Case management appears to significantly increase the odds of receiving other services from the same program. Furthermore, receiving the first episode of case management early seems to be more important than receiving case management later in the treatment episode.
