Knowledge Item: CA-Program Satisfaction-19
Relationship of Service Needs and Vulnerabilities to Overall Program Satisfaction

All three types of programs–University Health Care, Managed Medical Care, and Psychosocial Service and Support Programs–achieved high levels of patient satisfaction. This Knowledge Item examines the relationship of the ratings of overall program quality to service needs and vulnerabilities factors. The single overall item assessing satisfaction with services  was chosen because it was used the questionnaires of all three types of programs (total scores are not comparable because they are based on parallel but not identical items).

As has been shown from the earlier CHAID analyses of Knowledge Items: CA-Program Satisfaction-11 and -12, while program satisfaction was statistically related to certain patient service needs and vulnerabilities, in general the relationships are not large. This Knowledge Item shows the raw cross-tabulation tables that were modeled. The data are further modeled in Knowledge Item: CA-Program Satisfaction-20.

These HIV/AIDS treatment programs are highly-rated by participants and program outcomes should be viewed within that context.
