Knowledge Item: CA-Psychosocial Services-20
Psychosocial Service Episode Profiles as Function of Client Gender and Total Service Needs and Vulnerabilities

A series of analyses of variance with main effects were used to determine which of a number of simultaneously studied factors predicted who received the largest number of days of various kinds of services. While it was found in Knowledge Item: CA-Psychosocial Services-19 that needs-vulnerabilities level determines who is most likely to receive several types of services controlling for the days in the program, status as active in the program on the last day of data collection, site (project), and gender, the needs-vulnerability factor does not predict total units of services which are primarily a function of how long the client stays in the program. The following table summarizes the results.

Days in Program has an effect on total days of service type Still Active in the program (on the last day of data collection) has an effect on total days of service type Site of Service has an effect on total days of service type Needs-Vulnerabilities Level of the Client has an effect on total days of service type Gender of the Client has an effect on total days of service type
