Topics Discussed During an Episode of Psychosocial Treatment

Programs tracked whether topics were discussed during a day of services. This Knowledge Item shows the rates of discussing different topics with clients as well as the interrelationship of different topics (controlling for length of time in the program). It is particularly interesting to note that the projects found that the model programs had to include discussing psychosocial concerns (interpersonal problems, behavioral concerns) with the same participants with whom they most discussed medical issues. The results suggest that certain clients have very high need levels which must be addressed repeatedly during the course of the service episode.

The percentages of "yes" and "no" responses shown in the following diagram represents the percentage of participants who discussed medical services/needs with their provider.
