Model of the "Typical" Psychosocial Service Program: II. Detailed Typology of Services

This Knowledge Item presents two types of models of the "typical" experience in a psychosocial supports service program experienced by 2063 persons living with HIV/AIDS. The models presented here show the interrelationships between the different types of services provided to patients.

The model shown below relates the probability that a participant receives each of 39 major types of (non-overlapping) services to an underlying latent dimension of "program involvement" or intensity using latent trait analysis (or two-parameter item response theory scaling). The 39 services (corresponding in this table to their placement in the figure below) are:
