Time In Program Until Initiating Individual Mental Health Services
Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to study the time between program
enrollment and the receipt of the first episode of Individual Mental Services (individual
therapy/counseling, psychiatric evaluation, psychosocial assessment, individual crises
intervention, and/or individual mental health services) for 1517 clients in six programs.
Combining data from ten programs, the mean estimated time until receiving Individual
Services is 307.02 days (standard error = 15.45 days). The median time until receiving
Individual Services is 23 days.
For
the 1442 clients who received these services, the median time until obtaining
them was one day and the average time until receipt was 72.79 days (standard error =
4.50
days).
Note: This curve
shows the time until a service is received. Since one would ideally wish to see
every client who needs a service receive it, an ideal curve would very rapidly
drop to 0 indicating that everybody who needed a service received it.
