Major Needs and Vulnerabilities of Clients

for Community Health, Education, and Research/Haitian Community AIDS
Outreach Project (Boston, Massachusetts)


As of June 15, 1999, 17 Cooperative Agreement Projects had, in
aggregate, provided services to 2579 men with HIV and 2225 women with HIV/AIDS.
Detailed information about various risk behaviors was available for a
subsample of 1176 men and 1606 women.
The following tables show the
characteristics of the clients at the Center for Community Health,
Education, and Research/Haitian Community AIDS Outreach Project in
Boston that were part of the larger collective
treatment population of the 17 projects.
Note that certain chi-square tests may be excluded after data tables because the data do not vary across categories.
The data given
here are from those participants who were part of the cross-cutting
program evaluation. This group may be smaller than the total group
of individuals served by the project.
