Confirmatory Models of the Relationships among Participant Risk Behaviors

This Knowledge Item examines characteristics of 8,251 participants in 10 service demonstration projects targeted to youth living with, or at risk for HIV. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to identify three main types of participant risk behaviors. Slightly different behavioral factors were identified for young men and young women.

Project Citation: This Knowledge Base is based on the service delivery experiences of 10 Adolescent Models of HIV/AIDS Care. These projects and the Evaluation and Dissemination Center were Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HIV/AIDS Bureau's (HAB) Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS) between 1993 and 1998. Each project was partially supported by a SPNS grant from the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau.
