Catalyst Foundation: Street Connections Outreach Prevention and Education Program

The Measurement Group is working with the Catalyst Foundation (http://www.thecatalyst-foundation.org/) in Lancaster, California, to conduct a performance assessment of its Street Connections HIV Outreach Program serving drug users at high risk for HIV/AIDS in the Antelope Valley (northern Los Angeles County). The Catalyst Foundation’s Street Connections Outreach Prevention and Education Program is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment under the HIV Outreach grant program.

Street Connections Outreach Prevention and Education utilizes an evidence-based model of outreach to this high risk population, the NIDA Community-Based Outreach model (http://www.nida.nih.gov/CBOM/index.html). The Measurement Group is working with the Catalyst Foundation to implement data collection protocols, assist with data management, statistical analysis, reports, and other similar activities to meet the performance assessment requirements of this project. Resources and results will be posted on this web site as they become available.
