Lisa A. Melchior, Ph.D., [The Measurement Group] received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan in 1990. Dr. Melchior is the Vice President of The Measurement Group LLC, which she joined in 1989. Dr. Melchior is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Public Health Association, the American Evaluation Association, and the Society for Multivariate Experimental Psychology. Dr. Melchior is a frequent contributor to professional publications in the areas of survey research and evaluation of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, and mental health services, particularly with respect to services for women and youth and those with multiple diagnoses. She has worked in a number of applied measurement and evaluation settings, including the Research and Development department of a major commercial test publisher (Western Psychological Services). Since 1993, Dr. Melchior has been the Associate Director for Evaluation and Data Systems for two HRSA HAB SPNS Evaluation and Dissemination Centers. Dr. Melchior is well known to the 37 SPNS projects for which she has coordinated technical assistance on evaluation and instrument design, data collection, data management and quality assurance, statistical analysis, and technical writing.
