90 Minute Workshop

Category: Care & Services

Presentation Date & Time: 03/27/98 13:45:00

Objectives: Investigating the use of on-line self-instruction for rural providers of the Mountain-Plains AIDS ETC region. Description of Issue: Rural providers face unique challenges for accessing current HIV/AIDS training. In addition, rapidly changing HIV treatment information dimishes the utility of printed training resources, which are time-consuming and costly to update and distribute. The Internet offers the potential to overcome these limitations by providing a universally accessible, easily updateable medium. Methods: Application of tested curriculum to Web environment and evaluation of implementation. Results: Ongoing project serves as important model. Model will be demonstrated and results to date will be presented.
