1. Lesson Learned: Communication must be ongoing between all staff, staff and Federal government representatives, staff and patients.

How related to achievements: Responsible for continuity and overall success.

 

2. Lesson Learned: Staff training must be ongoing - on many levels.

How related to achievements: Without training, rural staff do not feel part of central system.

 

3. Lesson Learned: Projects must be flexible to adapt to Federal government requirements and patient needs.

How related to achievements: If project didn't go with the flow, they would have run into patient issues and Federal funding issues.

 

4. Lesson Learned: Patients are why we are there.

How related to achievements: Must always listen to patients and work together.

 

5. Lesson Learned: Data collection/evaluation takes a lot of time and money.
How related to achievements: With data - able to show funders' achievements.
