Information dissemination from 27 Innovative Models of HIV Care projects funded as Special Projects of National Significance by the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
Welcome to SPNS/Fax: An Electronic Report from HRSA/HAB's SPNS Cooperative Agreements. In each issue of SPNS/Fax, we will highlight findings from the HRSA Special Projects of National Significance Program Cooperative Agreements. The projects have been funded to develop innovative models of HIV/AIDS care. SPNS/Fax reports are distributed every two weeks by fax machine to all subscribers. All issues of SPNS/Fax are also available at this Web site. Due to slight differences in the media, issues distributed by fax machine may appear slightly different from those posted on this Web site, but the content is identical.
The Measurement GroupPROTOTYPES Evaluation and Dissemination Center is introducing a biweekly emailed newsletter called SPNS/Email. SPNS/Email is a new innovative AIDS care newsletter that will cover news from the HRSA Special Projects of National Significance Program grantees on findings related to improving the quality of HIV/AIDS care. SPNS/Email will discuss: 1) the 27 Cooperative Agreement grantees funded in October 1994 to provide innovative models of HIV/AIDS care and 2) the nine grantees re-funded in December 1996 to provide models for adolescent HIV services.
Compared to SPNS/Fax, which usually focuses on one project per issue, SPNS/Email will briefly list key results from SPNS Program grantees, announce publications and conference presentations, and feature other news. Additionally, this short newsletter will highlight the grantees in terms of the valuable lessons learned and available dissemination products developed by the SPNS Program projects.
The SPNS/Email newsletters will be distributed every other week, on those Fridays when SPNS/Fax is not distributed, beginning in early June 1997. If you would like to subscribe and receive these SPNS/Email newsletters free of charge, please contact The Measurement GroupPROTOTYPES Evaluation and Dissemination Center at ghuba@TheMeasurementGroup.com. Additionally, if there are other people in your organization who would like to receive SPNS/Email, please provide their names and email addresses as well.
