The Measurement Group PrincipalsThe Measurement Group is headed by George J. Huba, Ph.D., President, and Lisa A. Melchior, Ph.D., Vice President. Both Dr. Huba and Dr. Melchior are California-licensed psychologists who specialize in evaluation, measurement, testing, health services strategic planning, and management consulting. Drs. Huba and Melchior have both been awarded Diplomate status by the American Board of Assessment Psychology. Dr. Huba is a 1977 graduate of the Ph.D. Program in Psychology at Yale University. Dr. Melchior received her Ph.D. in 1990 from the Psychology Department at the University of Michigan. Dr. Huba is a Fellow of Division 5 of the American Psychological Association (Evaluation, Measurement, and Statistics) as well as Division 50 (Substance Abuse), the former Associate Director of the UCLA Center for the Study of Adolescent Drug Abuse Etiologies, an elected member of the Society for Multivariate Experimental Psychology and a frequent contributor to professional publications on topics of alcohol and drug abuse, HIV services, methodology, evaluation, and testing. Dr. Huba has held faculty appointments at Yale, the University of Minnesota, UCLA, and the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Melchior is a member of the American Psychological Association and a frequent contributor to professional journals on topics of the treatment of women for alcohol and drug problems, psychosocial factors in the prevention of HIV, and co-occurring substance abuse and mental health problems.
